It is true that the Democratic Party has a tremendous hold in America’s news media; from CNN (Clinton Network News) to their subservient peacocks, NBC and its sister company MSNBC. These “News” corporations fail to fully address the total political landscape that also includes their masters, Democrats. Moreover, the Democratic Party often gets a “get out of jail pass” as seen in: Congressman Charlie Rangel, Eric Holder (the Attorney General of the U.S.), and Timothy Geithner (U.S. Secretary of Treasury) just to name a few. This lax policy towards Democrats is not just found in tax evasion, perjury, extortion of public funds; there is an every-growing social bias among the Democratic sheeple against Republicans, while they continue to ignore the problems of their own party.
Tax Evasion, Extortion, and Miscellaneous
Charlie Rangel, the current U.S. Representative (democrat) for New York’s 15th congressional district, was found guilty of 11 ethics violations. The former Ways and Means Committee head did not pay taxes on his luxurious rental Villa at the Punta Cana Yacht Club in the Dominican Republic. During the 2004-2005 tax period, he only played about $5,000 dollars on his property, and by 2006-2007 he neglected to pay taxes. The investigation revealed that he received $75,000 in income from the property and blamed others including his wife, for his maleficence.
The story does not just end there; Charlie Rangel wanted to hide his income because he was the tenant of four rent-stabilized buildings in Harlem. If he was able to “artificially” show that his income was less than $175,000, he would be able to make them rent-stabilized (via Governmental subsidies). Mr. Rangel also has a property in the District of Columbia, which is tax exempt because of the Homestead exemption, which allows legislators to not pay taxes on their property if it is their PRIMARY residence. However, in the case of Mr. Rangel, it was not his primary residence and thus he fraudulently gets an exemption! Although being a key proponent in more taxation, Mr. Rangel fails to pay his own taxes, moreover he was only censured by the House of Representatives, and still remains under the employ of the government.
Another example of fraud is Sen. Claire McCaskill, a Missouri democrat who much like her peers does not pay taxes. She has to pay back $300,000 due to four years of back taxes. The senator also used $76,000 in tax payer money to fund trips via her aircraft. The aircraft and the cost of use (pilots, flight attendants, food, etc.) cost the taxpayer almost $400,000 dollars. Mrs. McCaskill also went out of her way to avoid paying personal property tax on her plane and cars (she registered them in Illinois). Her unaccountability to pay her taxes has resulted in lower funding for schools. Although, Sen. Claire McCaskill has promised to reimburse the tax payer she faced virtually no reprimands for her actions.
Eric Holder, the Att. Gen. of the U.S. (democrat), failed to pay property tax on his mother’s home in Queens. Although the amount due was only about $4,000 dollars, his unawareness for the LAW is appalling. As the AG of the United States it is paramount to know all laws, be it complex or fundamental. Eric Holder also helped to orchestrate the infamous “Fast and Furious” gun-running operation, which led to the deaths of 200 Mexicans and gave 2,000 semi-automatic weapons to the Drug Cartels. The primarily reason behind this whole operation was to blame the gun dealers of the U.S. as the culprits in fuelling the violence in Mexico. Thus, the Democratic administration will try to impose heavy regulations against the purchase of guns. And we all know what happens when the citizens cannot bear arms, just look at what happened to Britain (London riots). Furthermore, after the allegations were found to be true, he committed perjury and “claimed” to have been unaware of the program’s existence. This lying cretin is still in his governmental position as the AG.
Lastly, we arrive at the doors of the U.S. Treasury, which is headed by Timothy Geithner, you know; the guy who said that the U.S. was not going to be downgraded. This 47 year old failed to pay his taxes during his employment in the International Monetary Fund for four years (2001-2004). The amount totaled up to $50,000 dollars including the interest he owes, albeit this amount is miniscule, as the Secretary of the Treasury it important to at least pay your taxes.
It is understandable that many people will say, “both Democrats and Republicans participate in corruption”, to which I would agree; however there is a real double standard in how Democrats are treated better than their Republican counterparts. There are many examples of this, but the recent allegations of Herman Cain’s sexual misconduct mirror that of the allegations of John Edwards, a former Senator from North Carolina and Democratic Party presidential candidate. John Edwards was found out to have had an extramarital affair with his film producer, Rielle Hunter; thus to prevent the story from leaking he misappropriated public funds to cover-up his affair ($100,000). This whole affair debacle only surfaced a year later in 2008, when Edwards started to campaign for presidency, whereas the allegations of sexual misconduct have been rapidly picked up by the mainstream media in the case of Herman Cain. I am appalled by the journalists and news anchors of certain “News” corporations in their inability to portray the news in a way that is both fair and balanced. Thus, it is up to the civilians to educate and spread news to everybody be it Democrats or Republicans.

At least he’s not in Washington anymore…
